They are incredibly hefty, have a thin foam on the bottom to keep them from sliding, and the subtle lip on the edge prevents the drink from sweating onto the surface beneath. As it is a natural material, each piece has a unique pattern and grain that are complimentary to each other. It has a subtle gloss sheen to it — not dull, but not glassy. I highly recommend!
